On the occasion of the 17th anniversary of the Vithu Trust Fund , a number of educational assistance programs are being carried out in various parts of Sri Lanka and the sign language, which is the language of communication for the deaf and hard of hearing, is the official language of Sri Lanka, which includes both Sinhala and Tamil, the official languages of uses in Sri Lanka. The launch began with a guest reception by Yasodaran Teacher’s Art and Nenchak, led by Vithu Trust Fund Fund Director Ms Nagendram Vijitha, with guests including Vice Chancellor of Jaffna University Prof. Sirisarkunaraja, Sri Lanka Head of Tamil special needs Education Mr K Vallikanthan, and the Field Teacher of the Deaf Posts
